Loki's sorrow


Loki's sorrow
A figure formed in my memory,
neither ghost nor dead substance.
You are the sorrow and treat
thank you now, what you gave.
You gave self-confidence and knowledge,
you kept me in your arms.
Only you've seen my sorrow,
I will not show it to anyone else.
You taught and brought me up,
called me your beloved son.
"Proud boy, you're a royal blood,
then compare everything for that! "
The shadow is deep when the sun is bright,
I'm a convict at now ‘til I die,
and surrounded by shadows in past of mine.
Your dreams never told but lies.
Now I'm not a king, but a mute prisoner,
you also said my all crimes.
And I disowned you, mother,
look my defiant behaviour.
It's too late for the anger and sorrow,
it's too late for the remorse,
That word was unspoken.
And I have no tears, all are lost.
I keep my anger like others keeps faith,
I'll never get absolution, they never gave

What if...? Script


Synopsys
The Avengers have some new members. For example...me. We live our ordinary lives when something happens. Something bad. The reality has changed around us. People we loved, disappeared without any trace. Some people stayed with us, some disappeared. Friends, family, comrades; randomly and without explanation. My life also has changed. Who am I now? Where is my family? Where is my friends' family? Where are my friends? They vanished. And I have a strange, red stone. I still have it. It belongs to me yet. The Stone of Magic and Dream, one shard of the seventh Infinity Stone.
How can I get my family back? How can we restore our reality?
What if...?
What if that had happened? This is my version of Avengers: Endgame.
(Of course, I have an own version of the Infinity War.)

SCRIPT
END OF A DREAM SCRIPT
JUDITH ARRIVES TO TONY’S HOUSE SCENE
EXT. SOMEWHERE IN THE USA, IN A FRONT OF A TWO STORIES HOUSE, NEAR A GROVE; TWILIGHT
We can see a tranquil, beautiful landscape from above with trees, birds; it is on the shore of a lake. When we come closer, we can see an AUDI stopping before the house and JUDITH gets out of the car. She is standing in front of the door.
CUT TO
We can see some of JUDITH'S MEMORIES. Valleys of VANAHEIM, the NEW ASGARD what they had built. The OLD HOUSE IN HUNGARY, JUDITH own house with its environment. The icy landscape of JOTUNHEIM.
We can see also LOKI and MARKO, they come to closer to the woman, but she can't touch them because the MIRAGE DISAPPEARS.
CUT TO
EXT.IN A FRONT OF A TWO STORIES HOUSE, NEAR A GROVE; TWILIGHT
The door opens and TONY STARK steps out. He is pale and upset.
TONY STARK
Did you bring them with you?
JUDITH
I came alone.
TONY STARK
No. You came with ghosts. I saw ghosts.
She looks around. She’s alone of course.
JUDITH
Can I go in?
TONY STARK
If you drink with me before I go crazy.
JUDITH
You're not crazy. I saw my own ghosts. And I don't drink because I still have to drive today.
TONY STARK
We will go crazy together. It will be funny.
Tony seems funny, but HIS HAND IS SHAKING. He lets Judith in.
TONY STARK (CONT’D)
And you'll leave here only next morning.
THE CAMERA FOLLOWS THEM INTO THE HOUSE.
INT.LIVING ROOM IN TONY’S HOUSE TWILIGHT
A real bachelor flat. Gadgets, amenities, and consumer electronics. Everything is expensive but not ostentatious.
Tony takes out two glasses and pours a kind of golden drink from a crystal bottle. He gives one of them to Judith.
TONY STARK
Raises his glass.
For the yesterday!
JUDITH
For the tomorrow! And let us could be there."
They drink.
TONY STARK
Why did you come?
Woman’s SHOES KNOCKS FROM OUTSIDE. PEPPER POTTS arrives.
TONY STARK
Good evening, Miss Potts. At the best of times.
He beckons at the glass.
TONY STARK (CONT’D)
Would you join?
PEPPER POTTS
Good evening. I came to say goodbye. I think we're done today. Miss… Koma, right? Have a nice evening, Mr. Stark!
They watch that Pepper leaves then Tony drinks the whiskey. He shivers and pours out another.
JUDITH
Is your plan getting drunk for tonight?
TONY STARK
Something like that. And we're already late. Why did you come?
JUDITH
To take you home.
The man gives us a broad smile and a wide gesture.
TONY STARK
Congratulations, you succeeded. If you drink, you can stay; if you not, you can sleep in the guest room.
JUDITH
Tony ...
The woman tries to soothe him.
TONY STARK
Do not tell me that 'Tony’!
The smile disappears from Tony’s face. HE IS ALL THE TENSION AND IT BURST OUT. He SMASHED THE CRYSTAL GLASS TO THE GROUND that it blasting into splinters and the drink splashed around.
TONY STARK (CONT’D)
Every day is like this. Pepper is all about accuracy, conscience and discipline. She comes and goes, I can smell her scent and sometimes she touches me. 'Something else, Mr. Stark?' 'Good night, Mr. Stark.' How do I tell her? How do I get her back? What if she has someone in this damn reality?
Tony combed his hair with his finger. He fell into an armchair and paused. He’s RATHER BITTER than angry. The woman starts toward the hallway.
TONY STARK (CONT’D)
Where are you going?
JUDITH
I'll clean up the splinters.
TONY STARK
Ehhh. So it's just like my life.
The woman was standing at the doorway and turns back.
JUDITH
That's why you did come home? That's why you didn't stay with us? But it has happened another time something like...
Tony BOUNCES UP like a spring kicking him out of the armchair.
TONY STARK
I have memories from two worlds! I know I have a daughter, but her mother doesn't. I know what I've lost, and I know I shouldn't have lost it. Why didn't my memories go away?
The camera follows the woman through the hallway to the BATHROOM when she is looking around for something useful. When she finds A PACK OF PAPER TOWEL AND A TRASH BIN, she returns to the living room.
CUT TO
INT. LIVING ROOM
The woman starts to mop up the whiskey and picks up the splinters.
JUDITH
When we fought there in my city …
Judith kneels on the floor, she doesn't look up. We CAN SEE HER MEMORIES again: the spaceships above her town; the Greys; the light portal in her house; the Avengers in her living room. Her son and Loki.
TONY STARK (V.O.)
Then?
CUT TO
INT. IN LIVING ROOM
Judith winces at Tony's sound. THE PICTURES OF MEMORY DISAPPEAR. Tony stands up from the armchair.
JUDITH
Then you trusted the Captain.
Stark TOWERS OVER THE WOMAN, his eyes sparkling.
TONY STARK
How could this happen? How come we didn't know it was going to happen? Not even that it can happen at all! Anything better than that! Whatever!
He leans down, grabs her arm and helps her to her feet.
TONY STARK (CONT’D)
Rogers preached about independence and freedom. Well, he and everyone are as free now as they can be! You know what? I don't care.
He goes to the window; turns his back to the woman. WE CAN SEE WHAT HE SEES: beyond the huge glass pane, the stunning view; the lake stretches out, the ever-darkening sky above it and the forest on the other side.
JUDITH (V.O.)
I had a dream,
The CAMERA MOVES AWAY from him and shows Judith standing above the splitters. She whispers.
JUDITH (O.S.) (CONT’D)
A silly, childish dream...
The man doesn’t turn from the window. We see his face reflecting on the glass.
TONY STARK
I would happy to exchange to mine. Because I only have nightmares. And you? What did you dream?
JUDITH
That I was an Avenger.
Silence for a while. Then:
TONY STARK
An Avenger? Do they still exist?
He finally turns back.
TONY STARK (CONT’D)
F.R.I.D.A.Y.! Please turn on the lights. Let be light in this damn brothel!
The bar counter's light turns on, as the small coffee tables lamp and the lights in the wall cabinets too. WARM, SNUG LIGHT FLOODS THE LIVING ROOM. None of them seems more calm than they was in the half-light. Stark walks to the bar counter for a new drink.
JUDITH
We need you, Tony.
Stark fingers clenches on his new, full glass.
TONY STARK
And why? To take revenge? Who? Why?
Judith goes to the bar counter and pours some whiskey into her glass. Drinks and grimaces. Maybe she doesn't like it.
JUDITH
To undo all.
TONY STARK
No.
They are looking at each other in silence for a while. The CAMERA SHOWS THE DREAM STONE FOR A MOMENT. IT SHINES WITH DIM LIGHT, barely visible.
TONY STARK (CONT’D)
I also had a dream, you know? I told you, remember? For years, the same thing. About New York. About battle and loss.
He snorts and beckons disappointed.
TONY STARK (CONT’D)
Post-traumatic stress. Nothing special.
STARK’S WHOLE BODY TENSES, he barely blinks, his breath accelerates.
TONY STARK (CONT’D)
Then Wanda came and that vision she caused. I have seen it many times in my dream. That dream says I can't go back
He drinks a sip then puts the glass onto the table. Judith doesn’t move; she is listening.
JUDITH
If you came back, we would have a better chance of finding a solution.
Stark starts toward the corridor, turns his back to the camera.
TONY STARK
If I went back, all my friends would die. That's what I dreamed about. If I went back, I'd kill the Avengers. Come on, I'll show you your room.
JUDITH
You know there are countless possible futures ahead of us? Anything can happen.
She says it to Tony’s back. He doesn’t answer, just nods. The camera follows them to the corridor and to the attic; to the guest room. When they enter to the room, we can see that it is small, but has a tiny balcony, and we can see millions of stars through the skylight.
INT. IN THE GUEST ROOM
JUDITH (CON’T)
I was hoping you'd come back with me.
TONY STARK
I wish I could...
JUDITH
I accept it.
The woman reaches her hand toward the man. When SHE TOUCHES HIM, THE STONE BEGINS TO GLOW AND WE CAN SEE A KIND OF VISION. Tony Stark’s vision.
CUT TO
EXT. SOMEWHERE OUTDOOR TWILIGHT.
WE CAN SEE ALL OF IT AS IF WE WERE THERE. FLAMES on the horizon, flames near us. Ash drifts.
RUINS OF BUILDINGS. Some details are frighteningly sharp, some are blur.
The wire from the reinforced concrete beams reach out as bloody spears.
A stack of bodies in front of us.
A STACK OF BLOODY CORPSES. Limbs twisted in impossible angles, bloody hair; wide open, pallid eyes.
Wide open, accusing eyes.
They all look at us.
The HULK. His last breath was a faint growl.
NATASHA. Her red curls resemble clotted blood.
CLINT. He sits with his head bent forward, as if watching the bow on his lap. A stream of blood drips down his neck and arms.
THOR. Next to his rigid fingers the MJOLNIR LIES.
THE CAPTAIN. His hands are bloody, blood is leaking from his nose. HIS SHIELD WAS BROKEN by a huge force.
Then the camera pulls back and reveals that WE ARE... IRON MAN.
Iron Man would search the Captain's pulse, but nothing. Then… ROGERS'S HAND IS CLASPED TO TONY'S HAND.
STEVE ROGERS
You could have saved us. Why didn't you do more?
Everything goes dark. The screen darkens.
CUT TO
INT. IN THE GUEST ROOM
Judith and Tony face each other. Stark's face is a few inches from her, his pupil are dilated; there is sweat on his forehead. Judith is in the same state as if she looking in the mirror. She trembles too and gasping for air. The man is breathing heavily when he whispers.
TONY STARK
Do you understand? You'll succeed without me.
